OOM: In Dani's Room

Dani's decided to hang out in her bedroom today, rather than going down to the Bar.

No special reason.

"I, uh. Brought you these." He produces a sloppy but substantial bouquet of pink camellias and pale yellow primroses.

Dani is, appropriately, quite speechless.

"Oh, Enzo!" she exclaims when she finds her voice. "They're so pretty!"

He blushes. "Heh. Thanks. They're not roses, but Momiji said the pink ones look like 'em, I dunno 'cause we don't have those at home, I'd've brought you some flowers from cyberspace instead but the ones here are a lot cooler, we don't really have..."

He will likely continue babbling until actively stopped.

Which is done by Dani covering his mouth with her hand.

"I love them Enzo, thank you," she says.

Mmmph. He grins and murmurs "You're welcome" when the hand is removed.

"Oh yeah! I brought you this too," he says, rummaging in his belt. She may not be quite so dumbstruck at this gift; it's a digital tourist guidebook to various major systems.

"Cool! Now I won't look like a complete idiot when I come visit," she says with a teasing grin when she sees the guidebook.

He chuckles sheepishly. "Yeah, sorry. I did tell people you were travelling. So if anyone asks you where you went, you can just list some of what it says here. They're all the places everyone goes, so..."

"I know." She sets the guidebook down on her desk before sitting on the edge of her bed.

"So, when's it best for you for me to come visit?" Being in Milliways all the time, Dani's calender is pretty much wide open.

"Any spare cycle. I mean, you can come on a school day if you want, but I won't be able to do as much stuff with you. And we'd have to eat the cafeteria food."

[ami_imperfect]

"Let's shoot for a weekend, or whatever you call weekends in your world," Dani answers. "That way we actually have time to do stuff together."

And she's not going to have to eat cafeteria food. Bluchh.

"I... think that must be the same as a spare cycle. That's when you get time off?"

[ami_imperfect]

"Mm-hmm. Sounds like it, anyway."

'Cause no way does Dani want to be caught bored at the Academy. And Danny, Bob and Dot probably don't want her caught bored there either. Not with her powers.

Nor does Enzo want her to be bored. (Though he would surely find the results hilarious.)

"Okay. Next spare cycle, then?" Which will totally correspond to whenever it is threaded.

"Sure!" Dani grins; this? Is going to be fun.
