There's a wide grin on Dani's face as she and Enzo - both in ghost mode and both invisible - pass through her door and into Amity Park.

(There's also a flock of butterflies loose in her stomach, but we won't talk about them)

"Well, here we are!" she exclaims quietly. "Welcome to Amity Park!"

"Dude!" Enzo whispers. "It's all... square. And grey. Where're all the plants and things?"

Other than the wheeled cars passing on the street, it doesn't look too different from some parts of home so far. Except for the textures. Nothing here is smooth.

"We're in downtown Amity Park," Dani whispers back. "There are more buildings and business down here than plants. Come on."

She tugs on his hand and gently pulls him down the sidewalk, in the direction of the park, still invisible. There aren't any clocks around, but better not to take the chance of anyone seeing them if school is still in session.

Enzo lets himself be towed as he tries simultaneously to maintain his invisibility (he's still not fully used to these powers) and to get all his gawking out of the way now. He'll have to play it nonchalant once he's visible.

All the colours (such as there are in this area) are slightly muted. Everything feels different, both because it's different and because he is. He's acutely aware of warm and cold—Dani's hand is currently cooler than it was in human form earlier. He squeezes it and rubs his thumb against the back of her hand, feeling the increased friction from his own thumbprint.

Dani smiles as she feels Enzo's thumb rubbing the back of her hand, even as her cheeks burn as she blushes. At least she's invisible, so he can't see it.

Finally they reach the park. It's starting to fill with kids; school must have let out a few minutes ago, so it's safe for them to go visible. Even so Dani makes sure that they're hiding behind enough cover before turning visible again, then reverting to her human form.

(Funny how you only ever need cover on one side, isn't it?)

Enzo follows suit, and feels them both warm abruptly.

"Hey, why's the whole town called Amity Park if this part's the park?" he asks.

Dani opens her mouth to respond...

...then closes it, and screws up her face in thought.

"Y'know? I honestly have no idea. Maybe we could ask Danny."

Enzo grins. "Okay. We doing that first, or the clothes?"

As requested, his transformation included an ordinary sweatshirt and jeans, since a military jumpsuit might get some looks. That, however, is only one outfit.

"Danny first; we need money first before we go shopping."

[a1enzo]

"You do," he says smugly. Yay for rich sisters!

Home again, home again, jiggity-jig. Danny slams his bedroom door and shrugs off his backpack, dumping it onto the bed with a faint groan.

Hope he's not too tired.

Or else he might not notice the fact that one of his rockets is taking off.

Elsewhere on the ceiling, one at a time, the little planets in a solar system mobile start to spin around the little yellow sun.

Actually, Danny might not have noticed if he were less tired; having followed the backpack in flopping onto the bed, he's looking right up at the ceiling. He stares at the moving decorations.

"What the..."

And that's just the warm-up.

The rocket flies up in the air and heads straight for Danny, before falling into "orbit" around him.

Another rocket, hanging from the ceiling, flies right off its string. It heads for Danny, then makes a detour towards the solar system as an invisible hand hits the planets again to keep them spinning.

"HEY!" Danny makes a grab for the orbiting rocket. He misses glowers, and transforms, rising from the bed. "Okay, who's there? I don't know how you're blocking my ghost sense, but..."

The rocket orbiting Danny flies away when he transforms, joining it's partner up near the ceiling.

It's flight plan starts getting a little erratic...almost like whoever is playing with it can't hold it steady because she's trying too hard not to laugh...

"This was not what I had in mind," Danny grunts, shifting his grip on the shopping bags.

[ami_imperfect]

Danny's too tall for Dani to risk jumping up and kissing him on the cheek without dumping the bags everywhere. So she settles for beaming up at him.

"We really appreciate this, Danny. Really." And then she looks over at Enzo as if to say, Back me up here!

"Totally," Enzo agrees.

One of his hands is occupied with towing a squarish suitcase on wheels, large enough to accommodate his new wardrobe. The other is occupied with one of Dani's. This absolutely counts as having his hands full.

Jazz looks over at her brother and merely grins. She knows he's not that put out; he'd do practically anything for Danielle.

Whether this counts as selfishness is a question for the philosophers.

Danny mumbles something which, indeed, does not sound overly upset, but raises his voice to add, "Can't we at least put some of this stuff in the suitcase?"

"Probably."

Sure, it takes away from the fun of 'Danny the Pack Mule', but she's starting to get the feeling that if this game goes on for much longer, Danny won't be so generous with his time in the future.

"Yeah, okay," says Enzo, thinking much the same. They've had their fun, anyway. He relinquishes Dani's hand and bends to unzip the suitcase...
